
When The Cocoa Project decided to participate for the first time in the 2025 International Chocolate Awards – Asia-Pacific Region, they didn’t see it merely as a competition, but as a special opportunity to showcase the spirit and flavors of Vietnam to the international community.
To represent that spirit, we chose a very special chocolate bar that embodies the most distinctive essence and flavors of Vietnam.
That is the Ben Tre Coconut Dark Chocolate tablet.

More than just a chocolate product, the Ben Tre Coconut Dark Chocolate is a true embodiment of creativity, Vietnamese identity, and Cocoa’s heartfelt dedication:
- The outer layer is a glossy, beautifully crafted dark chocolate made entirely from 100% Vietnamese ingredients, offering a rich taste with a deep, lingering finish.
- Inside, the filling is full of surprises — a delightful crunch from grilled milk rice paper, a humble local ingredient, delicately combined with the nutty, fragrant flavor of Ben Tre coconut.
The contrast between soft and crunchy, bitter and sweet, traditional and modern creates a unique experience — both familiar and refreshingly new.
The Cocoa Project didn’t choose this product for the competition because it was “safe” or “tailored to international tastes.” We brought it because it represents who we are — a chocolate bar that fully encapsulates the Vietnamese story, Vietnamese ingredients, and Vietnamese pride.
Winning the Silver award on our very first entry is a tremendous joy, but for The Cocoa Project, the greater value lies in the journey of bringing a Vietnamese product to compete on the international stage.
The Ben Tre Coconut Dark Chocolate not only brought us closer to the global craft chocolate community, but also reaffirmed Cocoa’s ongoing mission: to share Vietnamese chocolate with the world — in a way that is heartfelt, creative, and full of pride.
