On June 19, in Vĩnh Long Province, The Cocoa Project had the opportunity to take part in the bonus awarding ceremony for local farmers participating in the Cacao-Trace program, organized by Puratos Grand-Place Vietnam. This annual event is held to recognize the contributions of cacao farmers and reaffirm the ongoing partnership with the farming community in the Mekong Delta region.

Cacao-Trace is a program developed by Puratos and implemented across several cacao-producing countries, including Vietnam. Its main goal is to improve cacao quality through post-harvest processing control and by providing direct support to farmers.
In Vietnam, the program not only focuses on standardized farming and fermentation techniques, but also emphasizes fairness and transparency in the distribution of benefits.

Every Cacao-Trace certified cacao product contributes to the Chocolate Bonus fund when it reaches the consumer. The entire bonus is delivered directly to the farmers — as a clear recognition of their efforts in maintaining quality and adhering to sustainable practices.

The bonus awarding event not only reflects the strong connection between the company and the farmers, but also reinforces our commitment to promoting high-quality, responsible, and sustainable cacao production in Vietnam.
The Cocoa Project – Committed to Sustainability at Its Core

Behind every chocolate bar from The Cocoa Project, you’ll notice a small, distinct logo printed neatly on the packaging — the Cacao-Trace certification, representing a unique commitment to building a sustainable cacao supply chain.
From day one, The Cocoa Project’s vision has gone beyond simply crafting the finest chocolate for Vietnamese consumers. At its core lies a desire to build a highly sustainable ecosystem — one that values the quality of every harvested cacao bean and seeks to uplift the livelihoods of the farmers who grow them.
The Cocoa Project – Chocolate for the people.
